While there was some initial confusion with my cat’s feeding schedule, Jing quickly adapted and was able to follow the instructions to get everything back on track. My cat absolutely loved seeing her and she gave him plenty of attention and she was happy to share videos and photos. We just used North Jersey Pet Sitters for the first time to watch our cat, Kiwi. We were gone over 2 weeks and this was our first time leaving Kiwi since we got her last year. Carolyn sent daily updates with pictures which really helped us enjoy our trip knowing Kiwi was being well taken care of while we were away!! I just used North Jersey Pet Sitters, for the first time, to care for my 2 kittens while I was out of town. Robert and Angie sent me daily updates with pictures. It made my trip more enjoyable to know they were caring for my kitties, including spending time to help them get comfortable and interact. My husband and I were traveling internationally this past week, and we were pretty anxious about leaving our dog, Selena, especially because our original sitter cancelled on us at the very last minute. NJPS stepped in and helped us in a pinch, and we’re forever grateful.
From the start, they were reassuring, responsive, and incredibly kind — they really helped calm our nerves. Their app made everything even easier; we loved getting photo updates and detailed notes from each visit. Selena is a senior dog with quirky eating and walking habits and requires medication, and they handled everything perfectly. It gave us so much peace of mind while we were away.
Selena was so well cared for, and we came home to a happy and healthy pup. We have been using North Jersey Pet Sitters for 18 months and are very happy with the services we have received from all of their sitters. Whether it’s just a day trip or short overnight jaunt, or an extended vacation, we know that when the sitters are caring for our dogs, they are in great hands so we can truly enjoy ourselves. The communication and responsiveness of the management team and the sitters could not be better. A special shout out to sitter Chris, who did overnight sitting for us for three weeks this past fall and did an absolutely amazing job.

Stephanie Damanio has been our sat sitter (2 senior cats) of over a year, including on holidays. She has always done an excellent job, including sending me photos and comments cat behaviors, eating, litter box use etc. We have switched to a LitterRobot4 for litter management, and she quickly adapted the new technology. I have full confidence in her and in NJ Pet Sitters.

I went onto Reddit to inquire about the Rover app. I noticed those sitters tend to be dog-oriented and I have cats. I knew the basics but still had 4+ other questions/concerns about attempting to use that app—plus there’s the issue of reliability. Luckily I received an anonymous private message urging me to find a small insured/bonded pet sitting business for my needs instead. Heeding the advice for due diligence, I searched local companies. Made 3 calls. Heard back from Amy(?) with NJ Pet Sitters fastest and my gut felt comfortable with the option from the get-go. The pricing is unexpectedly reasonable. The staff is responsive and reliable. Both sitters I met with (Michelle and Cameron) were wonderful, pleasant girls. Michelle wound up sitting for me most of my trip and she exceeded expectations... the kind of provider you don’t feel compelled to tip (like how we usually feel at restaurants or salons) but sincerely want and are happy to … hard worker, diligent, sweet. Even my very skittish cat decided to come out to interact with her. I like the app the company uses too. Was very happy to receive the reports and photos. This company is a pleasure to work with.

Highly recommend!! We used their service during our vacation recently and they were wonderful. One of my dogs got eye problems right before our trip and needed eye drops. We were nervous about leaving our dog with medical issues but they took such a good care of him and eye issue was resolved when we returned. We had Emily and Elle. They were absolutely fantastic!! I have 2 older dogs, one diabetic and the other with a health issue as well. I was away for a few days and came home to happy well cared for dogs. The daily updates and photos made my time away worry and stress free. It’s a great feeling to know I can leave my pups with no worries.

I used their service for the first time not too long ago. I had an extended work trip to plan for. I didn’t want to leave my cats alone for that long but I also needed someone to give my asthmatic cat his inhaler treatments. He’s a shy cat so it’s not the easiest thing to do but Abigail and Jennifer were great with both of them. I highly recommend this service. My mind was at ease as they sent daily photos and updates. This place is the best. People are helpful, friendly, and very responsive. Explain everything clearly. They have back ups for pet sitters, they write up reports with pictures of your pet that you can see in their app while you are away. Mine reassured me the door was locked when she left. They can check mailbox, give you options of how long they can stay depending what you want for your pet. Reasonable price. I was very pleased. Highly recommend and will use again in future. You get to meet and show pet sitter your home and they meet pet before your first trip. Could not be more pleased. Very responsible and professional. Your pet will be in good hands.

Hi! I have been a client of NJ Pet Sitters since at least 2015, approximately 9 years! They have taken excellent care of my furbabies, and I don't trust just anyone with them. Most recently, Brielle, Melody, and Sarah took care of my two cats, while I had to travel for work for three months. I received daily reports and photos, and it was so comforting knowing that my girls were happy and well-cared for. They brought in my mail and kept an eye on my house too. The only petsitters I will use! They are very thorough from the very beginning. They do a meet and greet so they know where everything is in your home, WHT medications your pets need, etc.

They send you constant updates and amazing pictures of your pets while you are gone. One year I even used their pictures for my Christmas card because they were so much better than mine

They arrived on time for every visit, gave my pups lots of love and attention and sent me pictures every single visit so I could see their sweet faces! The app that they use is amazing! You can make appointments online, pay online and directly communicate with your pet sitter as needed while you are away. I love that they visit before you go away so you get to meet the sitter that will be taking care of your pet, they get to interact with your pet and really take the time to get to know your pet and the special things about them that they need to know to take care of them. I have been so happy with their service and my dogs were so well taken care of! It’s priceless to have such wonderful people to bring such comfort to me when we have to be away from our dogs!
